An architect gets a second kick at the can

Think roots don't run deep in big cities? Meet architect Peter Hamilton. His grandfather was a York Mills resident 80 years ago, and he not only lived in a home designed by the prestigious firm of Allward and Gouinlock, he helped architect Hugh "Chips" Allward determine lot sizes and setbacks for the neighbourhood on the northern fringe of Hogg's Hollow as it was being developed. After the Second World War, his father moved his family there, too.
